Son modeli istihbarat toplama ve hafif saldırı görevleri için üretilmiştir.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;En gelişmiş modeli olan OH-58C'ler ana rotorların üst kısmına monte edilmiş görüntüleme sistemine sahiptir. Bu sistem televizyon görüntüsü, termal görüntü ve lazer işaretleyici gibi özellikleri beraberinde getirmektedir. Boeing-Sikorsky yapımı olan Comanche, ilk başlarda gözetleme ve bilgi toplama görevleri için düşünüldü. Apache'den küçük ve daha hafif olan helikopter, gövdeyi saran composit maddelerle kaplanmıştır. Bu Comanche'nin radara yakalanmasını zorlaştıracak bir özellikti. Ayrıca içeri çekilebilir iniş takımı ve silah yuvaları radarı yansıtmama amacıyla dizayn edilmişti. Comanche diğer helikopterlerden daha düşük desibelde ses üretiyordu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sofistike radar ve yön bulma aygıtları bu helikopterin kötü hava koşullarında ve gece uçmasını sağlıyordu. 1300 Comanche üretilmesi ve bunların gözetleme ve hafif saldırı helikopteri olarak kullanılması planlanıyordu, ancak proje 2004 yılında iptal edildi. Neden olarak ta bütçeyi geçen geliştirme giderleri gösterilmiştir. AS532 Cougar, Eurocopter Super Puma helikopterinin yükseltilmiş askeri bir versiyonudur. &lt;br /&gt;AS 332 Super Puma, Cougar helikopterinin ilk dizaynı, 1977 yılında uçmuştur. Bu versiyon iki 1330kW Turbomeca Makila 1A1 turboshaft motor ile donatılmıştı. 1990 yılında tüm askeri Super Puma helikopterleri  Cougar olarak değiştirildi. Helikopterin sivil versiyonu halen Puma olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Değişik görevler için farklı Cougar versiyonları kullanılmaktadır. John Egginton adlı bir pilotun kullandığı bir Lynx saatte 400 km hıza ulaşarak bu alanda bir rekor kırmıştır. Eh-101 bir İngiliz şirketi olan Westland Aircraft ve İtalya Agusta şirketlerinin birleşmesi sonucu ortaya çıkmış bir projedir.&lt;br /&gt;1980lerde üretimine başlanan Eh-101'in ilk prototipi 1987 yılında uçtu. Helikopter özel maddelerin kullanıldığı bir iskelete sahiptir ve bu iskelet helikoptere çarpma gibi durumlarda dayanıklılık kazandırmaktadır. Ana rotor son teknoloji ürünü bir üretimdir. Paller helikopterin aerodinamik etkinliğini maksimize edecek şekilde dizayn edilmiş. Ayrıca bu dizayn pallerin çıkardığı ses desibelini düşürür.&lt;br /&gt;EH-101'in askeri versiyonu üç adet Rolls-Royce Turbomeca RTM322 TURBOSHAFT motora sahiptir. Bu motorlar helikopterin bilgisayarı tarafından yönetilmektedir. Böylece tüm hava şartlarında helikopter havada kalabilir. Temel üretim amacı ağır yük kaldırmak olan Chinook'lar asker intikali, arama kurtarma amaçlarıyla da kullanılmaktadır. 2 tandem motor helikoptere geniş bir hacim sağlama yararının yanında yük kaldırma konusunda da helikopterin kabiliyetlerini büyük oranda artırmaktadır. Geleneksel tek rotorlu helikopterler ancak bir adet yükü ana rotorun tam altından uzatılan kablolarla kaldırmaktadır. Bunun nedeni helikopterin ağırlık noktasının tam rotorun olduğu bölge olmasıdır. Bu tip helikopterlerde iki adet yükü ayrı noktalardan taşımak imkansızdır, zira bu durumda helikopterin dengesi bozulur ve helikopter devrilebilir. Ama Chinook kendine has dizaynı ile iki adet yükü, her biri birer rotorun altında olmak üzere, taşıyabilir. &lt;br /&gt;Bu iki rotor helikoptere ekstra bir kaldırma ve itme gücü sağlar. CH-47'ler saatte 315 km gibi bir hıza ulaşabilirler ki bu hız bir ağır yük helikopteri için çok iyi bir sürattir. Günümüzde Chinook kullanan 16 ülke bulunmaktadır. Amerikan ordusunda UH-1 Huey helikopterlerinin yerine 1980'lerde görev almaya başladı. Taktik asker taşıma, elektronik savaş ve ambulans görevleri gibi görevleri yerine getirebilir. Karaşahin 11 tam teçhizatlı asker ve 4 kabin görevlisi taşıma kapasitesine sahiptir. Ayrıca hava desteği sağlayabilecek şekilde minigun(döner namlulu makinalı tüfek) takılabilir. Bugün başta ABD sonra Japonya, Güney Kore, Meksika, Ürdün, Türkiye gibi birçok ülkede görev yapmaktadırlar. Birçok kez güncellenen Karaşahin bugün her biri ayrı görevler için dizayn edilmiş birkaç versiyona sahiptir. HAP serisi Tigerlar, burunda 30 mmlik bir top bulundurlar ve Fransa tarafından kullanılmaktadır. UHT serisi ise Almanya'nın kullandığı anti-tank odaklı versiyonudur. Bu versiyonda burundaki top kaldırılmıştır.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Misral ve Stinger füzelerinin yanında Hellfire füzelerini kullanan versiyonları vardır. Tiger'ın belki de en önemli özelliği manevra kabiliyetidir. Helikopter havada takla atabilir.
